Welcome to All Bar One

The loyal customers and Curzon cinema members are puzzled about why the recent refurbishment took place at the Curzon Soho? What was the motivation behind it? Who designed it? Why choose those dark colours, plastic IKEA furnitures and small pink square sofas? Why the long bar? Why let Konditor and Cook go? Why did they not conduct some consumer research before the refurbishment by asking Curzon customers/members first about what they liked about Curzon Soho and what they thought needed improving?

Customers are now demanding to know why this refurbishment has happened. Curzon Soho staff are getting negative comments on the new look every day. If the Curzon bosses really cared about their customers and their business, they would go to Curzon Soho and meet the customers, for an example, on an open day at the Curzon Soho or set up some sort of online feedback on the Curzon Cinemas website. Nothing has been done. We totally understand the cinema has to move forward but the way the change/refurbishment has been managed and put forward to the staff and the customers is not up to industry standard. Big posters and badly worded signage are not good enough. Customers are still looking for the box office despite the signs.
Please email Andrew Bailey, the Director of Operation (Andrew.Bailey@curzon.com) and Mel Alcock, C.O.O (Mel.Alcock@curzon.com) if you have any positive feedback or constructive criticism on the new look. Feel free to forward us a copy of your email to curzonworkers@gmail.com.
Management need to know what it feels like to get at least five (sometimes more) negative comments every hour from customers. We are having to deal with everything, with every consequence of bad planning and we are not even paid enough to do the work we do at the cinema. No one from senior management is there to answer any of the questions. Staff members and managers at Curzon Soho are unable to say anything either as they are not briefed and are in the same boat as the disappointed lost customers.

Some of the comments from customers on the new look. Note, these comments are the exact words from the customers, they have not been paraphrased  :
'Terminal 4 doesn't look so bad now, does it?'
'Curzon have ruined my birthday'

'So bleak! It's depressing!'

'No charm'

'It's lost it's vintage feel'

'You look great! You look much better than this place'

'Lost all it's characters'

'Is this All Bar One?'

'All that's missing is the strippers'

'Seedy boudoir feel and not in a good way'

'Why have they turned this place into an airport?'

'It's looks like a night club that no one goes to'

'I prefer my dentist’s waiting room'

'The sound in the bar when it's full of people is horrendous. Deafening.’

'What's this area going to be when it's finished? (this is the basement after the refurbishment had been
completed)

'Is that it?'

'Empty"

'God, this cinema is just a rich man's playground now isn't it?

'You do not serve Guinness anymore?'

'Why? Why? Why?'

"Where do I buy the tickets? Where's your box office? What's wrong with your box office?'
There's no words to express how sad and disappointed we all are with the Curzon Head Office for ruining Curzon Soho. Biggest mistake ever! No more the cool Curzon Soho but VUE ALL BAR ONE.
